President Maduro Announces 10 Days Celebration For the J28 Electoral Anniversary

Nicolás Maduro, the president of Venezuela, has announced that musical events and marches will be held from 28 July to commemorate the first anniversary of his victory in the presidential elections, which have been challenged by the opposition and part of the international community.

“Tomorrow, Monday, July 28th, and for 10 days, there will be major musical events and popular marches in the streets to celebrate the first anniversary of the heroic triumph against fascism that we had on July 28, 2024,” Maduro highlighted.
President Maduro announced that, starting tomorrow and for ten days, the first anniversary of the “heroic triumph against fascism” on July 28, 2024 will be celebrated with musical events and marches. In addition, this Monday will mark the 71st anniversary of the birth of the late President Hugo Chávez.
“He was born over there in (the locality of) Sabaneta, in the middle of a downpour, at four o’clock in the morning of July 28, 1954, it means that the commander Chavez turns 71 years within hours and we feel him in the vigor of the revolution, in the vigor of the fatherland that he refounded.”, he added, in statements broadcast by the Venezuelan Television channel (VTV).
In addition, the head of state thanked to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) for their actions that allowed to get to the today’s municipal electoral process for surveillance work, which he said prevented terrorist and violent acts, thus ensuring the calm of the electoral process.
Maduro also highlighted that 56 political organizations registered candidacies stating that “It has been a joyful campaign, we have seen caravans, marches, all the political factors, 56 political parties. Everyone has freely nominated and campaigned, and that is how it should always be. It has been an exemplary electoral process, let’s hope now that everyone exercises their right to vote, let’s wait for the National Electoral Council’s bulletin, and let’s go out and celebrate in peace, with much joy and much strength,” he said.
